George Bedell practices in the areas of insurance coverage, consumer claims, personal injury, civil litigation, and white collar criminal defense. He received the highest rating for a lawyer, "AV," that is given by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which is based on the opinion of his professional peers. He became Board Certified in Criminal Law by The Florida Bar Certification in 1989 and was a Member of Criminal Law Certification Committee from 1995 to 2002. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1983. He is also admitted to the Middle District of Florida and U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. After graduating from law school, George was an Assistant State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit (Tampa) from 1983 to 2000. He is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Federal Bar Association, Tampa Bay Chapter, and Herbert G. Goldburg Inn of Court. He authored Navigating in the Wake of a Seizure: Protecting Privileged Documents, The Florida Bar Journal, January 2005, Vol. 79, No. 1 at 8.
George received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina in 1979 and his J.D. from Florida State University of College of Law in 1982. He was born in Panama City, Florida on August 15, 1957.
